Savannakhet disciplines dozens of officials over misconduct
Savannakhet province has disciplined more than 30 officials and many others are being investigated over various forms of misconduct and corruption, local media reported.
Five officials were found to have been involved in issuing 247 fake work permits to foreign workers, resulting in losses of more than 250 million kip, according to the Savanphatthana newspaper, citing a report by provincial Party-State Inspection Authorities
